Products & Prices

Alright, let’s talk cake costs. I get asked about this almost daily, usually by someone whispering as if wedding cake prices are classified information. They’re not, I promise. Here’s a clear breakdown so you can see how things work before you fall in love with a five-tier masterpiece shaped like a cloud. Check out my London baking blog for more info.

I keep the tone friendly here, but the numbers are real. Ingredients, hours, tools, delivery… they all add up. And yes, I’ve spent nights hand-piping tiny dots until my wrists begged for mercy, so I’ve learned not to undersell those dots.

Tiers & Base Prices

These start with simple buttercream or fondant finishes.

  • Two tiers (serves 40–60) – £240 to £310
  • Three tiers (serves 70–100) – £360 to £520
  • Four tiers (serves 110–150) – £540 to £760
  • Five tiers (serves 160–200) – £780 to £1,050

I’ve had couples choose a five-tier cake for twelve guests purely for drama. No judgement. I applauded.

Style Add-Ons

This is where the fun (and extra hours) come in.

  • Smooth fondant finish upgrade – £30 to £80
  • Textured buttercream (ridges, rustic waves, etc.) – £20 to £70
  • Hand-painted designs – £80 to £260
  • Metallic touches (gold leaf, silver leaf) – £30 to £110
  • Modern shapes (hexagon, tall tiers, offset stacking) – £40 to £150

I once hand-painted twenty tiny strawberries at 1 a.m., humming to myself like a gremlin. Worth it.

Decorations

  • Sugar flowers (per flower depending on size) – £8 to £22
  • Fresh flowers (placed safely) – £25 to £65
  • Edible wafer paper ruffles – £45 to £160
  • Drip icing – £10 to £25
  • Custom toppers – £20 to £55

Sugar flowers look dreamy, but they do turn my table into a scene of petals everywhere. Buttercream the cat once walked straight through them.

Flavours

Prices are per tier.

  • Vanilla, lemon, chocolate, red velvet – included
  • Premium flavours (pistachio, rose, coconut, biscoff) – £10 to £25
  • Luxury fillings (salted caramel, passionfruit curd, berry compote) – £10 to £25

A groom once requested a coffee tier so strong it nearly kept my oven awake.

Delivery & Set-Up

  • Within London zones 1–3 – £35 to £70
  • Zones 4–6 – £70 to £120
  • Venues outside London – £1.20 to £1.60 per mile

I’ve driven cakes through London traffic with the focus of someone diffusing a bomb. One pothole near Camden nearly made me meet my ancestors.

Modern cake designs feel a bit like old traditions bumping into new ideas and deciding to have a giggle together. I’ve always loved that mix. One minute you’re looking at a clean, white tier that could have come straight from a vintage cookbook, then you blink and suddenly there’s neon buttercream splashed across it like…

  • Celebration Cakes 2 Tier

Two-tier celebration cakes have become a tiny obsession of mine. They feel like the sweet spot between “let’s keep it chill” and “let’s throw a party big enough to confuse the neighbours.” I’ve baked them for birthdays, anniversaries, leaving do’s, new babies, and even one for a dog called Pickle who looked very smug in…
